Domino Launches a New Generation of CIJ Printer Designed to Help Manufacturers Tackle Labor Shortages and Reduce Unplanned Downtime

Domino Printing Sciences (Domino) is pleased to announce the launch of the Ax560i CIJ printer, the latest addition to its ‘x-generation’ coding and marking solutions portfolio.

Building upon the proven Ax-Series platform, the Ax560i has been designed to help manufacturers maintain productivity despite these challenges, with advanced predictive maintenance capabilities and intelligent print quality management tools. With the spotlight on sustainability and waste reduction, the Ax560i has been developed to help deliver consistent, high-quality coding, with new hardware features designed to improve coding accuracy and reliability:

· Advanced CleanAssist cleaning system, Domino’s latest automated inkjet printhead cleaning solution, designed to streamline cleaning processes and maintain optimum print quality.

· Nozzle face sealing technology for reliable first-time start-ups following planned shutdowns, to reduce downtime and waste.

· Integrated air-drying system that helps protect the printhead and maintain consistent performance in challenging production environments, including moist and damp conditions.

Beyond the printer, the Ax560i can support wider coding quality and labeling error prevention. Centralized message management from Domino Designer helps to ensure consistent code deployment. The Ax560i can also be provided as part of a fully integrated solution, alongside Domino’s coding automation and vision systems, to further reduce opportunities for human error.

Reliable performance, shift after shift

· The familiar, intuitive QuickStep 3 user interface is designed to support operators of all experience levels, reducing training requirements and minimizing the risk of coding and labeling errors. New operator wizards have been added to provide guided support for key functions and streamline operation.

The Ax560i supports standardization across production environments, with advanced smart factory integration capabilities, including industry-standard Ethernet/IP and OPC-UA protocols. The adoption of Domino’s Dynamark protocol further simplifies integration by aligning the Ax560i with Domino’s total coding and marking portfolio, to support consistent coding across multiple production lines and sites.
